Their words; “The Trove is a non-profit website dedicated towards content archival and long-term preservation of RPGs.

I can’t over emphasize how spacious this place is and its not just D&D, its got Dungeon Crawl Classics, Dungeon World, Starfinder, Pathfinder, World of Darkness, Sword & Sorcery, Warhammer and a ton more. Its kind of nuts. Its not just manuals, its comics, novels, programs, board games, maps, magazines(Dragon, Dungeon, Polyhedron, Games Workshop, , on and on and on.

I can’t speak enough about this place and its just best you go explore it yourself. Its like when you first discovered comics and you step into one of the biggest comic books stores for your first time. Eyes in bewilderment.

I recommend Dungeon #100 and Polyhedron #159 for some light level 18 adventure reading and say if you happen to want to hunt something on the Beastlands. I also recommend Sailors of the Starless Sea for DCC.

They also have a nice little repository for the One Page Dungeon contest over here. The One Page Dungeon Contest is actually a pretty sweet little contest in its own rights and you should check them out along side the rest of this pile of heaping excitement. It does also have maps, animated & 3D printable stuff

I do also want to mention that all these things are copyright their respective owners and that if you do truly enjoy them and get some use out of them or plan to get more use out of them than maybe you think, pitch a few dollars their way. Without these amazing people there would be no content here to be excited about, literally. These people are the makers of some pretty fantastic things.

My personal take is its fine to rent a movie to see if you like it. If you want to watch it again, maybe think about buying it since you like it enough to see twice.

Side Hustle: Joe’s Wizmos

So it seems that more and more people are turning to side hustles to make some extra little bit where they can. I have had the same idea and want to say that I have started a store front over at etsy called Joe’s Wizmos where I sell things that probably aren’t gadgets or widgets which is where I came up with wizmo. I can change the name one time and for now it will do.

Currently I make things that are basically keychains. I have some ideas to rework them into more pendants but take a look at the gallery and see if you find anything you like and if you want go on over to take a look at my listings. Maybe give it a favorite or whatever. I’m usually more humble and try to let things build on their own but in todays world its just push push push and a little word of mouth from where ever it comes from doesn’t hurt I guess. So if you think you might like something you see that I can make, just throw me a line here or there.

I love me some retro and this place is one of the golden oldies man. I think they still program it in HTML to which I have to say kudos man, kudos because really thats all you need for a repository site like that. AnnArchive, AnnaRchive? I’m not sure, is a collection of things from the gold old days stretching back to DOS, stretching back to the 90’s and has some things from newer also. Mostly I am sharing it here though because of its great collection of Dragon and Dungeon magazines.

You can check out the last issue of Dungeon from around 2007 here.

Now I don’t get enough time to spend a lot of time reading but I do know over the years there has been gold in those mines and I just thought I’d share it because its like a time capsule into a bygone era that time has passed by and forgotten about. Somehow, some way someone left the electricity on though and its nice to see places like that exist yet.

LATEST UPDATES: 9/3/16 added complete scans of arcane magazine, a uk magazine that ran from the 90s to 2000s, which covered role-playing games and the then-new collectibe card game format. once again, scanned and contributed by blumf.

8/15/16 added complete scans of imagine magazine – basically the uk version of dragon. thanks to blumf for scanning and donating these!
